Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Willowbrook for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 23.

With the loss, Oak Park-River Forest falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL) to battle the Hilltoppers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 24. The Hilltoppers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
