The Belfast Lions softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting John Bapst Memorial Crusaders to 0 in the Lions league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Belfast improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Lions host Mount View (Thorndike, ME) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league game on Thursday, April 25. The Mustangs come into the game with a record of 1-2.
In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the Waterville Panthers (Waterville, ME) in a Class B North game, on Tuesday, April 23. John Bapst Memorial will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 0-1 record after their 14-3 league loss to Winslow (Winslow, ME).
