The Landrum Cardinals nipped the host Blacksburg Wildcats softball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Monday's league battle.

The Cardinals (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Broome (Spartanburg, SC). The Centurions go into the non-league battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, Broome was edged by Chapman (Inman, SC), 11-1, in a league battle.

The Wildcats now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Spartanburg for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 25. Blacksburg will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over High Point Academy (Spartanburg, SC). The Vikings record now stands at 9-12.
