Cedar Creek Pirates (Egg Harbor City, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mainland Regional Mustangs (Linwood, NJ), 6-3 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Vineland for a Cape-Atlantic - American challenge on Wednesday, April 24. Cedar Creek will face a Fighting Clan squad coming off a 6-3 league win over Egg Harbor Township (Egg Harbor Township, NJ). The Fighting Clan record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, Mainland Regional falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to St. Joseph (Hammonton, NJ) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 24.
