Ridgewood Maroons (Ridgewood, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ), 6-4 in a league challenge.

The Maroons now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Mahwah for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 23.

With the loss, Hackensack falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Comets host Paramus (Paramus, NJ) to battle the Spartans in a Big North - Freedom challenge on Wednesday, April 24. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 3-5.
