In Monday's non-league test, the Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA), by a tally of 11-0.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, April 24. Hopewell will attempt to advance on its 3-7 season record. The Blue Devils go into the test with a 5-5 record after their 10-0 league loss to Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA).

The Greyhounds (2-9) will now prepare for their test against Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA). The Mighty Bookers go into the Eastern test with a 0-8 record. In their last test, Booker T. Washington was routed by Manor (Portsmouth, VA), 25-0, in a league test.
