The New Plymouth Pilgrims softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Melba Mustangs to 8 in the Pilgrims league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, New Plymouth moves its record to 9-12 on the year. The Pilgrims host Marsing (Marsing, ID) to clash with the Huskies in a 2A Western Idaho game on Monday, April 29. The Huskies come into the game with a record of 7-10. Marsing lost 7-1 in their recent league game against Nampa Christian (Nampa, ID)

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Glenns Ferry Pilots (Glenns Ferry, ID) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 25. Melba will attempt to move on its 9-7 season record. The Pilots come into the game with a 10-4 record after their 12-0 league win over Vision (Caldwell, ID).
