The Metcalfe County Hornets softball team (Edmonton, KY), was routed 13-1 in Monday's non-league test with the host Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY)

Coming up next, the Falcons encounter the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs (Red Boiling Springs, TN) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, April 23. Monroe County will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record.

The Hornets (6-9) will now prepare for their test against Russell County (Russell Springs, KY). The Lakers come into the District 16 test with a 11-8 record. In their last test, Russell County overcame Hart County (Munfordville, KY), 10-2, in a non-league test.
