Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Mother McAuley Mighty Macs (Chicago, IL), 11-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Providence Catholic upgrades its record to 13-3 on the year. The Celtics travel to St. Laurence (Burbank, IL) to play the Vikings in a GCAC- Red game on Tuesday, April 23. The Vikings enter the game with a record of 9-6. St. Laurence won 6-5 in their recent league game against Resurrection (Chicago, IL)

The Mighty Macs now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they travel to Montini Catholic for a GCAC- Red game on Tuesday, April 23. Mother McAuley will play a Broncos squad coming off a 9-4 league loss to Resurrection (Chicago, IL). The Broncos record now stands at 7-15.
