Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Terryville Kangaroos (Terryville, CT), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Chiefs now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Wolcott RVT for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 23. Nonnewaug will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 19-2 league loss to Wilcox RVT (Meriden, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Terryville falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Kangaroos host Crosby (Waterbury, CT) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 3-8.
