The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) and the host Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY), observed Peru's softball team prevail over Plattsburgh by a tally of 12-4.

The Nighthawks (3-1) will now prepare for their bout against Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY). The Bobcats go into the Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Northern Adirondack was routed by Saranac (Saranac, NY), 16-4, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Ticonderoga Sentinels (Ticonderoga, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout, on Tuesday, April 23. Plattsburgh will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Sentinels go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 34-1 non-league win over North Warren Central (Chestertown, NY).
