The Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) baseball trounced the host Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA), 11-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they host Belle Vernon for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 25. Mt. Pleasant will clash with a Leopards team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Charleroi (Charleroi, PA). The Leopards record now stands at 9-2.

With the defeat, Southmoreland drops to 1-10 on the year. The Scotties travel to Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA) to clash with the Rams in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge on Monday, April 28. The Rams go into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Ligonier Valley won 9-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Yough (Herminie, PA)
