Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) and the host Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), saw Auburn's soccer squad knock off Giles by a count of 4-1.

The Eagles (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Bears enter the Mountain Empire battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Bland County tipped Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA), 4-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Spartans battle the George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) in a Mountain Empire battle, on Thursday, April 24. Giles will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Maroons enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 8-0 league win over Galax (Galax, VA).
