The Western Albemarle Warriors overwhelmed the host Monticello Mustangs softball squad by a count of 20-7 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Warriors meet the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 23. Western Albemarle will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Lions go into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA).
The Mustangs (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Orange County (Orange, VA). The Fighting Hornets go into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Orange County was routed by Goochland (Goochland, VA), 14-10, in a non-league challenge.
