The Smithfield Sentinels lacrosse team (Esmond, RI), was overwhelmed 15-5 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Middletown Islanders (Middletown, RI)
With the victory, Middletown advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Islanders travel to East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI) to encounter the Avengers in a Division 2 battle on Friday, April 25. The Avengers come into the battle with a record of 5-0. East Greenwich won 15-3 in their recent league battle against Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI)
The Sentinels now sport a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Hope for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 26. Smithfield will encounter a Huskies team coming off a 7-5 league win over Lincoln (Lincoln, RI). The Huskies record now stands at 7-1.
