Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) and the host Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), saw Auburn's soccer squad triumph over Giles by a count of 7-0.
The Eagles (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers enter the Mountain Empire battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Fort Chiswell Grayson County (Independence, VA), 3-3, in a league battle.
Next up, the Spartans battle the George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) in a Mountain Empire battle, on Thursday, April 24. Giles will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Maroons enter the battle with a 4-4 record after their 2-1 league loss to Galax (Galax, VA).
