In Tuesday's league match, the host Starmount Rams softball team scored a nice 13-3 victory over the Alleghany Trojans.

The Rams (12-9) will now prepare for their match against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals go into the Northwest 1A match with a 18-4 record. In their last match, East Wilkes gained a win over South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 3-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) in a Northwest 1A match, on Friday, April 25. Alleghany will attempt to better on its 0-18 season record. The Granite Bears go into the match with a 3-10 record after their 5-3 league win over Elkin (Elkin, NC).
