Next, the Cavaliers play the Phelps Hornets (Phelps, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 24. Jenkins will attempt to upgrade on its 13-3 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 0-11 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY).

The Wildcats (4-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Owsley County (Booneville, KY). The Owls / Lady Owls enter the non-league challenge with a 0-12 record. In their last challenge, Owsley County was routed by Estill County (Irvine, KY), 15-0, in a league challenge.
