Pennsylvania High School Softball - Canon-McMillan topped by Hempfield Area

April 22, 2025: Canonsburg, PA 15317

Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Canon-McMillan Big Macs (Canonsburg, PA), 10-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Hempfield Area upgrades its record to 16-0 on the year. The Spartans host Norwin (North Huntingdon, PA) to play the Knights in a WPIAL 6A 1 game on Thursday, April 24. The Knights enter the game with a record of 3-4.

The Big Macs now own a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Butler for a WPIAL 6A 1 game on Friday, April 25. Canon-McMillan will play a Golden Tornado squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to Seneca Valley (Harmony, PA). The Golden Tornado record now stands at 2-14.
