In Tuesday's league test, the La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Carlsbad Lancers (Carlsbad, CA), by a count of 5-0.

Next, the Mavericks meet the Sage Creek Bobcats (Carlsbad, CA) in a Coastal North County test, on Thursday, April 24. La Costa Canyon will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record. The Bobcats go into the test with a 9-8 record after their 10-1 league win over Mission Vista (Oceanside, CA).

The Lancers (2-11) will now prepare for their test against Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA). The Longhorns go into the Coastal North County test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, Rancho Buena Vista was routed by Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA), 2-1, in a league test.
