The Newburyport Clippers softball squad (Newburyport, MA), was routed 7-4 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the host Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School Hawks (Hathorne, MA)

With the triumph, Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School improves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Hawks host Beverly (Beverly, MA) to face the Panthers in a non-league contest on Friday, April 25. The Panthers enter the contest with a record of 5-2. Beverly won 13-5 in their recent league contest against Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA)

The Clippers now hold a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Reading Memorial for a non-league contest on Thursday, April 24. Newburyport will face a Rockets squad coming off a 12-5 league win over Winchester (Winchester, MA). The Rockets record now stands at 7-0.
