The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Marathon Olympians (Marathon, NY) and the visiting Groton Red Hawks (Groton, NY), observed Marathon's softball team get by Groton by a tally of 9-8.

The Olympians (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Tioga (Tioga Center, NY). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 3-1 record.

In their next game, the Red Hawks battle the Union Springs Wolves (Union Springs, NY) in a Section 4 Interscholastic - North Small bout, on Wednesday, April 23. Groton will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 14-0 non-league win over Newfield (Newfield, NY).
