St. Joseph Bears (St. Joseph, MI) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI), 2-1 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, St. Joseph improves its record to 1-4 on the year. The Bears travel to Portage Northern (Portage, MI) to play the Huskies in a Southwestern Michigan - West game on Wednesday, April 23. The Huskies enter the game with a record of 2-4.
The Beavers now hold a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Waverly for a non-league game on Friday, April 25. Harper Creek will play a Warriors squad coming off a 7-3 league win over Holt (Holt, MI). The Warriors record now stands at 6-2.
