The Marine City Mariners got by the visiting L'Anse Creuse Lancers softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Mariners meet the Warren Woods-Tower Titans (Warren, MI) in a Macomb Area - Gold challenge, on Thursday, April 24. Marine City will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Titans go into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 13-3 non-league loss to Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills, MI).
The Lancers (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Shore (St. Clair Shores, MI). The Shorians go into the non-league challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Lake Shore held off Roseville (Roseville, MI), 19-0, in a non-league challenge.
