The McLoughlin Pioneers softball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting Umatilla Vikings to 0 in the Pioneers league win on Tuesday.

The Pioneers now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dayton for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 24. McLoughlin will encounter a Bulldogs team coming off a 16-11 league loss to Colton (Colton, WA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Umatilla moves to 1-6 on the season. The Vikings travel to Vale (Vale, OR) to encounter the Vikings in a 3A Special District 2 battle on Friday, April 25. The Vikings come into the battle with a record of 5-2. Vale won 8-7 in their recent league battle against Nyssa (Nyssa, OR)
