Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Southern Rams (Oakland, MD), 8-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, Mountain Ridge upgrades its record to 6-3 on the year. The Miners host Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD) to play the Sentinels in a non-league game on Friday, April 25. The Sentinels enter the game with a record of 3-10. Fort Hill lost 5-0 in their recent non-league game against Saint James (Hagerstown, MD)

The Rams now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Allegany for a Western Maryland game on Thursday, April 24.
