Pennsylvania High School Softball - Northgate succumbs to South Allegheny

In Tuesday's league test, the South Allegheny Gladiators (McKeesport, PA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Northgate Flames (Pittsburgh, PA), by a tally of 14-1.

Next, the Gladiators clash with the Springdale Dynamos (Springdale, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 2 test, on Wednesday, April 23. South Allegheny will attempt to advance on its 11-1 season record. The Dynamos go into the test with a 0-4 record after their 10-3 league loss to Brentwood (Pittsburgh, PA).

The Flames (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA). The Vikings go into the WPIAL 2A 2 test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Apollo Ridge prevailed over Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 16-1, in a league test.
