The Wayne Pioneers triumphed over the visiting Ripley Vikings softball squad by a count of 9-1 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Pioneers play the Fairland Dragons (Proctorville, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 23. Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 6-2 league loss to Portsmouth (Portsmouth, OH).
The Vikings (4-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Wahama (Mason, WV). The White Falcons enter the non-league challenge with a 18-4 record. In their last challenge, Wahama overcame Ritchie County (Ellenboro, WV), 15-1, in a non-league challenge.
