West Virginia High School Baseball - Bridgeport edges University

April 22, 2026: Bridgeport, WV 26330

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Bridgeport Indians (Bridgeport, WV) and the visiting University Hawks (Morgantown, WV), saw Bridgeport's baseball team gain a win over University by a tally of 4-1.

The Indians (16-3) will now prepare for their battle against Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV). The Polar Bears enter the Big Ten battle with a 2-14 record. In their last battle, Fairmont Senior by Lewis County (Weston, WV), 5-3, in a league battle.

Next, the Hawks face the Robert C. Byrd Eagles (Clarksburg, WV) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 23. University will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 15-5 record after their 14-0 league loss to East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV).
