Illinois High School Baseball - Pekin loses to Morton

April 22, 2026: Morton, IL 61550

Morton Potters (Morton, IL) followers left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL), 14-4 in a league match.

With the triumph, Morton moves its record to 12-5 on the season. The Potters travel to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL) to battle the Braves in a non-league match on Friday, April 24. The Braves come into the match with a record of 11-6. Mt. Zion lost 14-4 in their recent non-league match against Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL)

The Dragons now possess a 3-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Moline for a non-league match on Thursday, April 23. Pekin will battle a Maroons squad coming off a 7-3 league win over Rock Island (Rock Island, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 12-6.
