In Saturday's non-league game, the host Benton Rangers baseball team scored a nice 10-0 victory over the Pinckneyville Panthers.
The Rangers (11-6) will now prepare for their game against Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL). The Red Devils go into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio game with a 6-11 record. In their last game, Murphysboro was overwhelmed by Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL), 11-8, in a league game.
