In Saturday's league game, the host Lufkin Panthers baseball team scored a nice 12-0 victory over the Tyler Lions.
The Panthers (19-5) will now prepare for their game against Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX). The Dragons go into the 5A Region II District 16 game with a 17-6 record. In their last game, Nacogdoches overcame Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX), 3-1, in a league game.
The Lions (2-17) will now prepare for their game against Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX). The Wildcats go into the 5A Region II District 16 game with a 18-10 record. In their last game, Whitehouse overcame White Oak (White Oak, TX), 18-8, in a non-league game.
