Eastland Cougars (Lanark, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host West Carroll Thunder (Savanna, IL), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Warren/Stockton for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25. Eastland will face a Warhawks squad coming off a 12-2 league win over West Carroll (Savanna, IL). The Warhawks record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, West Carroll falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to River Ridge/Scales Mound (Hanover, IL) to face the Wildcats in a NUIC West challenge on Monday, April 25. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. River Ridge/Scales Mound lost 8-3 in their recent league challenge against East Dubuque (East Dubuque, IL)
