Lincoln Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles (Pittsburgh, PA), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Wolverine now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Quaker Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25. Lincoln will face a Quakers squad coming off a 19-0 non-league loss to Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA). The Quakers record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Keystone Oaks falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA) to face the Antelopes in a WPIAL 3A 2 challenge on Monday, April 25. The Antelopes enter the challenge with a record of 9-2. Avonworth won 13-1 in their recent league challenge against South Park (South Park, PA)
