Illinois High School Softball - Mother McAuley bounces Loyola Academy

April 23, 2022: Wilmette, IL 60091

Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Mother McAuley Mighty Macs (Chicago, IL) and the host Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL), witnessed Mother McAuley's softball squad tip Loyola Academy by a count of 20-13.

The Mighty Macs now sport a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln-Way West for a non-league match on Monday, April 25. Mother McAuley will face a Warriors squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 12-1.

With the loss, Loyola Academy moves to 8-7 on the season. The Ramblers host Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL) to face the Celtics in a GCAC- Red match on Tuesday, April 26. The Celtics go into the match with a record of 13-4. Providence Catholic won 13-1 in their recent league match against Trinity (River Forest, IL)
