Game Summary
LA SALLE GETS WILD IN LOSS TO SCANLAN
Tuesday, April 23, 2024 – The La Salle losing streak is at three games as the Cardinals dropped a tough 1-2 loss against Monsignor Scanlan on Randall’s Island. Ryan Gallaher (L, 1-1) pitched well but he gave up a leadoff walk in the top of the seventh inning, that was the eventual game winner for Scanlan.
Monsignor Scanlan took the lead in the second inning as Gallaher allowed a two-out walk that came up on a two-out soft liner to center field. La Salle answered in the bottom of the third, scoring an unearned run as Kerick Tejada crossed the plate on an error charged to Scanlan’s right fielder that would have ended the inning. The Cardinals had chances to take the lead and to tie the game, twice getting runners into scoring position but the bats fell flat and the losses continue to mount.
On Deck: La Salle plays at Christ the King on Thursday, April 25th at Juniper Valley Park in Queens. First pitch is 4pm.
