Andrew Jackson Volunteers (Kershaw, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Central Knights (Kershaw, SC), 6-4 in a league challenge.

The Volunteers now own a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buford for a AA Region 5 challenge on Friday, April 26. Andrew Jackson will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, North Central falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Camden (Camden, SC) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 6-8. Camden won 8-2 in their recent league challenge against Lakewood (Sumter, SC)
