The Blazer Tomcats the host Boyd County Lions softball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Tomcats (7-7) will now prepare for their battle against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 11-8 record. In their last battle, Johnson Central held off Martin County (Inez, KY), 16-4, in a league battle.

The Lions now possess a 15-13 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln County for a Freelance battle on Thursday, April 25. Boyd County will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Spring Valley (Huntington, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 18-4.
