Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles (Lake Station, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Calumet New Tech Warriors (Gary, IN), 22-13 in a league challenge.

The Fighting Eagles now own a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Washington Township for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 24. Lake Station Edison will face a Senators squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to South Central (Union Mills, IN). The Senators record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Calumet New Tech falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Warriors host Gary West Side (Gary, IN) to face the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25.
