Enosburg Falls Hornets (Enosburg Falls, VT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Country Union Falcons (Newport, VT), 14-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lyndon Institute for a challenge on Thursday, April 25. Enosburg Falls will face a Vikings squad coming off a 16-1 league win over U-32 (Montpelier, VT). The Vikings record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, North Country Union falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT) to face the Eagles in a Metro challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Mt. Abraham won 27-5 in their recent league challenge against Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT)
