North Carolina High School Softball - South Point can't get by Forestview

April 23, 2024: Gastonia, NC 28056

In Tuesday's league contest, the Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC) softball team held off the visiting South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC), by a margin of 6-5.

With the triumph, Forestview moves its record to 11-6 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Huss (Gastonia, NC) to play the Huskies in a Big South 3A contest on Friday, April 26. The Huskies come into the contest with a record of 0-13. Huss lost 23-0 in their recent league contest against Crest (Shelby, NC)

In their next game, the Red Raiders play the Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, April 24. South Point will attempt to move on its 9-9 season record. The Pumas come into the contest with a 6-10 record after their 15-5 non-league loss to Northwestern (Rock Hill, SC).
