The Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) baseball got by the host Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM), 6-5 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 16-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grants for a 4A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 29. Belen will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 11-3 non-league win over Moriarty (Moriarty, NM). The Pirates record now stands at 15-6.
With the defeat, Valley drops to 11-12 on the year. The Vikings travel to Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM) to clash with the Huskies in a 4A District 6 challenge on Monday, April 28. The Huskies go into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Hope Christian lost 17-4 in their recent league challenge against Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM)
