In Wednesday's league game, the host St. Patrick Shamrocks baseball team scored a close 5-4 victory over the Carmel Corsairs.

The Shamrocks (11-6) will now prepare for their game against Benet Academy (Lisle, IL). The Redwings enter the East Suburban Catholic game with a 8-6 record. In their last game, Benet Academy was tipped by Marist (Chicago, IL), 5-3, in a league game.

Next, the Corsairs face the St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 24. Carmel will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 14-3 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Latin (Chicago, IL).
