The crowd at Wednesday's league battle between the Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN) and the visiting South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN), saw Dyer County's baseball team get by South Gibson by a margin of 4-3.

The Choctaws (14-9) will now prepare for their battle against Marion (Marion, AR). The Patriots enter the non-league battle with a 11-5 record. In their last battle, Marion held off West Memphis (West Memphis, AR), 10-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Hornets face the Chester County Eagles (Henderson, TN) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 24. South Gibson will attempt to improve on its 22-6 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 14-8 record after their 3-2 league win over McNairy Central (Selmer, TN).
