Virginia High School Baseball - Northampton loses to Mathews

Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) followers left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA), 12-6 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Mathews moves its record to 4-5 on the season. The Blue Devils host West Point (West Point, VA) to battle the Pointers in a Tidewater match on Thursday, April 24. The Pointers come into the match with a record of 1-8. West Point won 17-2 in their recent league match against King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA)

The Yellowjackets now possess a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host King & Queen Central for a non-league match on Friday, April 25. Northampton will battle a Royal Tigers squad coming off a 17-2 league loss to West Point (West Point, VA). The Royal Tigers record now stands at 0-7.
