Michigan High School Baseball - Thurston loses to Melvindale

The Thurston Eagles baseball squad (Redford, MI), was overwhelmed 17-0 in Wednesday's league contest with the host Melvindale Cardinals (Melvindale, MI)

With the triumph, Melvindale moves its record to 14-5 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Garden City (Garden City, MI) to confront the Cougars in a Western Wayne contest on Monday, April 28. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 11-3. Garden City won 13-0 in their recent league contest against Robichaud (Dearborn Heights, MI)

The Eagles now possess a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dearborn for a non-league contest on Friday, April 25. Thurston will confront a Pioneers squad coming off a 18-7 league loss to Stevenson (Livonia, MI). The Pioneers record now stands at 6-3.
