In Wednesday's league outing, the host Carbondale Terriers soccer squad scored a tight 6-0 win over the Mt. Vernon Rams.

The Terriers (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Marion (Marion, IL). The Wildcats enter the South Seven outing with a 8-1 record. In their last outing, Marion tipped Centralia (Centralia, IL), 5-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Rams confront the Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) in a non-league outing, on Friday, April 25. Mt. Vernon will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Comets enter the outing with a 10-5 record after their 7-0 league loss to Litchfield (Litchfield, IL).
