The Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting St. Henry Crusaders to 5 in the Thoroughbreds non-league win on Wednesday.

The Thoroughbreds now own a 6-11 record. They take the field next when they host Holy Cross for a non-league test on Saturday, April 26. Newport Central Catholic will clash with a Indians team coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Simon Kenton (Independence, KY). The Indians record now stands at 5-4.

With the defeat, St. Henry drops to 5-5 on the year. The Crusaders host Cooper (Union, KY) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league test on Saturday, April 26. The Jaguars go into the test with a record of 8-2.
