New Jersey High School Softball - Neptune topped by Liberty

Liberty Lions (Jackson, NJ) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Neptune Scarlet Fliers (Neptune, NJ), 16-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Liberty upgrades its record to 6-2 on the year. The Lions travel to Lakewood (Lakewood, NJ) to play the Piners in a non-league game on Friday, April 25. The Piners enter the game with a record of 0-9.

The Scarlet Fliers now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Long Branch for a non-league game on Friday, April 25. Neptune will play a Green Wave squad coming off a 19-2 league loss to Keyport (Keyport, NJ). The Green Wave record now stands at 0-7.
