The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Clare Pioneers (Clare, MI) and the host St. Louis Sharks (St. Louis, MI), saw Clare's baseball team gain a win over St. Louis by a tally of 16-1.

The Pioneers (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Garber (Essexville, MI). The Dukes enter the non-league battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Garber prevailed over Midland (Midland, MI), 6-0, in a non-league battle.

Coming up next, the Sharks clash with the Vestaburg Wolverines (Vestaburg, MI) in a non-league test, on Friday, April 24. St. Louis will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Wolverines go into the test with a 5-6 record after their 12-4 league loss to Carson City-Crystal (Carson City, MI).
